Innovation Interns

About the Program

We periodicially host on-site and remote Innovation Interns. Potential projects include running outreach campaigns, working with LC collections and APIs, and conducting research on creative uses of technology in cultural heritage institutions. Interns who work with us may have opportunities to publish their work on our site, meet with LC staff from across the Library, and shadow our efforts to increase the impact of LC digital collections. Example projects can be found on our People page.

Apply

When available, positions will be posted on the Library of Congress Internships and Fellowships portal. Search "Innovation Intern" in the search bar for current opportunities to work with us. You can also email us at LC-labs@loc.gov.

We also participate in the paid internship opportunities such as the Library of Congress Junior Fellows program and internships offered by the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU). These applications operate on a regular annual schedule and can also be found on the Library of Congress Internships and Fellowships portal.
